Another place that we explored during our trip to Tegelberg and Neuschwanstein was a town named Füssen, which serves as the basecamp to trips into Hohenschwangau and nearby areas. In the morning, we arrived to Füssen by train from Münich and immediately got on the bus to Hohenschwangau; however, after we have explored the mountain and the castle, we had a few hours to spend in Füssen before our train ride back to Munich. The Old Town is stunning and after we had dinner we spent most of our time just wandering the narrow cobblestoned streets. With its tiled roofs and views of the mountains, Füssen reminded me of Cuzco.
